Your child will be taught the importance of appreciating accomplishments and self-importance. It is our goal to ensure each child feels successful at school so their enthusiasm can follow throughout their education and their life. Some of the topics taught throughout the year are:
- Developing a Child's Independence
Kindergarten
At the kindergarten age, it is critical that your child receives the necessary attention he or she deserves. This is why we maintain a smaller class count so students are able to work at their own level and not feel pressured to learn faster than their readiness.
In addition, Hilltop Nursery Schools is very pleased with the reading program we have been using for the past few years. The “Open Court” program, which is used in many public schools, includes:
- Letter Recognition
- The Relationship between Letters, Sounds, and Vowels
- Putting Sounds Together to Make Words
- Listening for Sounds in Words
- Writing Letters and Words
