offers an infant and toddler program
that provides a safe and age-appropriate environment for learning and developing positive social skills in Toms River, New Jersey. With age-appropriate learning activities and a modern and safe classroom design, we are able to give your child a clean, healthy, safe, and caring learning environment.
Infants & Toddlers
Since its arrival in September 1991, our infant and toddler program has expanded to nine classrooms. Each is properly equipped for their safety, as we have maintained a level of cleanliness that far exceeds the requirement of the health department. By placing your child in small developmental learning groups, they are able to grow, learn, and socialize together without additional distractions.
Our infant and toddler classrooms learning experience and daily activities are based on a combination of the “High Scope Curriculum
for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos” as well as the goals and standards set by our instructors, which is overseen and approved by our board of directors. We also incorporate ASL
within our program. By using the “readiness approach,” your child will be encouraged and helped to understand learning concepts for development. Your child's progress with be sent home daily displaying their learning, feeding, sleeping, and diapering schedule.
2 1/2 – 3 1/2 Year Olds
Hilltop Nursery Schools offers a special Nursery School Program for children ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2. This child development
program was created to promote safety and quality learning with enjoyment in mind. You have the option of enrolling your child half or full day to accommodate you and your child's needs.
Our certified teachers understand that a child's early developmental stages determine their learning rate. Each class delivers learning material that is age appropriate, so that your child is learning at their pace in a caring and sharing environment. We emphasize positive and interactive learning, so that each child can feel accomplished. It also helps build their confidence and self-worth.
Using a combination of the “Creative Curriculum for Preschool” and a curriculum created by our program directors more than 36 years ago, we focus on daily activities and routines while keeping your child's development in mind. Our focus is on:
